APD officer suffers non-life threatening injuries after crashing during car chase
The other vehicle mentioned in this article was not the suspect's vehicle. The Alexandria Police Department sent an updated statement that they originally thought this to be the case. However, it was an unrelated vehicle. That individual was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An Alexandria Police Officer suffered non-life threatening injuries after they crashed during a high-speed chase Saturday night.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Jackson Street, in Downtown Alexandria. The Alexandria Police Department said the officer was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The officer crashed onto the sidewalk next to Reichman Law Firm. The vehicle smashed into a tree next to the building and was resting on a fire hydrant.
No word on the suspects in that vehicle. But, we do know one of the suspects was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
