Alexandria Buffalo Soldiers giving back to the community

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Through a very successful fundraiser called “Riding on the Bayou”, the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Alexandria was able to donate more than $2,000 to four non-profit organizations.

The Buffalo Soldiers gave $500 each to the Thomas Ellis Foundation, Re-Entry Solutions, and Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation.

$1,000 was given to the Disabled American Veterans organization.

Kelvin Freeman, President of the Alexandria Buffalo Soldiers Chapter said their mission is to give back to the community, something all of the nonprofit organizations say they are thankful for.

"There’s a lot of worthy organizations that have a need and if were able to help assist with that need it's just definitely what we would like to do,” Freeman explained.
