Helen Gillet is a jazz-based cellist, singer, composer, and improviser. She grew up all around the world in places like Belgium, Singapore, Chicago, and Wisconsin, eventually finding her way to Louisiana. You can hear influences of the different cultures in her music. She's performed around the world, including Jazz Fest and Voodoo Fest in New Orleans.

"Our concert series has sort of evolved through the years,” said Katherine Spears, Executive Director of AMoA. “Now, we bring in artists from outside our community who are doing something more creative. And we're also looking for artists sometimes that go with the different themes of our exhibits."

AMoA will continue their concert series. Admission is free for members of the museum and $10 for non-members.
