Alexandria man arrested in criminal damage complaint

ALEXANDRIA, La. (RPSO) - RPSO responded to the 2500 block of Greenwood Drive on December 29 in reference to a reported burglary.

The complainant said that while they were inside of the house, they heard three loud bangs outside. The complainant went outside to investigate and found a suspect attempting to break the back glass out of their vehicle.

When the suspect had successfully broken the glass, he fled to a vehicle and left the area driving a metallic green Cadillac. He was later identified as Isreal Arenz Reed, 39, of Alexandria.

The victim contacted Sheriff’s Detectives to pursue criminal charges as other acts of criminal damage had been allegedly perpetrated by the suspect. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Reed and on January 5, Reed was located by Patrol Deputies at his residence on Dogwood Lane where he was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking.

He was booked for criminal damage < $1,000. Reed was later released on a $500 bond.
