Alexandria residents among those evacuating China following coronavirus

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB / NBC News) - News Channel Five has learned that two residents from Alexandria are among those who are trying to get out of China in wake of the Wuhan coronavirus.

Donna Jeffcoat initially revealed this information to us on Monday. She told us her son, Benjamin Wilson, her step-son, Jacob Wilson, Jacob's significant other, and Jeffcoat's granddaughter are all in Wuhan China right now.

Benjamin graduated from Bolton High in 2000.

Jeffcoat says there's no word yet on why her relatives have not been able to board a plane to come back to the U.S..

According to the attached story from NBC News, if they can get back to the U.S., they have to be quarantined for 14 days.
