Alexandria suspects arrested in Grant Parish for meth possession

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - A man and a woman from Alexandria were arrested in Grant Parish for drug possession.

The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Colfax Police Department were called to the restrooms of a park in reference to two suspicious individuals.

When law enforcement arrived, they discovered a man and a woman inside of the women’s restroom. When asked, the man said that he did not know what his own name was.

Authorities found used syringes containing methamphetamine.

A bag of methamphetamine was also found in the woman’s shirt. She told the officers, “It’s meth; I eat it.”

More methamphetamine was found inside of the man’s pants when he was being booked in the jail.

Bobby Jones, Jr., 36 of Alexandria, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, resisting an officer, introduction of contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ashley Shreve, 48 of Alexandria, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
