ALEXANDRIA, La. (City of Alexandria) - The City of Alexandria has cleared all areas following a main valve malfunction at Adam's Pump Station late on Thursday which stirred sediment in the tank.

The valve malfunction caused discolored water in some areas including Charles Park, West Pointe, and Good Earth subdivisions.

Crews worked through the night flushing the affected areas, and the water was clearing as of late Thursday night and early Friday morning. It was never a health hazard to customers, according to Director of Utilities Mike Marcotte.

All areas now have been cleared. If any resident is still experiencing problems, please contact 318-473-1264.
