Life is short and is sometimes taken for granted, but at times, things happen to help us better appreciate it.
Imagine that you’re cutting grass for your lawn service and suddenly, you find yourself in the back of an ambulance.
Jamie Jeansonne never thought this would happen to him. He had gone into cardiac arrest.
“God really has a way you know,” Jeansonne said. “One minute you’re sitting there and he snaps his fingers and you drop dead. A couple of minutes later he says alright it’s time for you to come back.”
His stepson, Zach Dauzat, sprang into action knowing exactly what to do. He had taken CPR classes while he was in high school.
“I knew he wasn’t joking when his face turned purple so I started doing compressions,” Dauzat said.
The bond between father and son is already strong but with this happening, it drew them closer together.
“It makes you realize that some things that you would complain about or things in life that you would think are important really isn’t important at all,” Jeansonne said.
Today, the Jeansonne family not only celebrate life, but they also realize the importance of CPR.
