GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - Daniel Aikens, the suspect in the string of bomb threats that has had Alexandria on edge the past few days, appeared in court Thursday, but for different reasons.

Aikens appeared in front of Grant Parish Judge Warren Willet for a pre-trial conference for three counts of violation of a protective order, one count of introduction of contraband into a penal institution and one count of contempt of court.
As of Thursday morning, he had not been assigned a public defender.
The pre-trial was continued to May 7, with a trial to follow on June 22.
