PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - The Cenla Christian Home School Association held their annual kick off to help get parents ready for the new year.
Hundreds of families in the area belong to the association's co-op. The goal is to support and connect home schooling families.
Part of that includes parents and students meeting with one another once a month for field trips.
Books and curriculums were for sale at the event. Community organizations also set up booths to help with extra tips and tricks.
"Everybody needs community," said CCHSA member Jennifer Hall. "So, for the homeschoolers to have community, to have people that are kind of on the same page, we support each other. We can offer each other encouragement and we can share curriculum ideas."
