CLTCC student leaders to participate in national student leadership conference at The Ohio State

ALEXANDRIA, La. (CLTCC) - Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) SGA Executive President and Louisiana Community & Technical College Student Board Supervisor Shanco Williams as well as Samuel Marshall, SGA Vice President, will represent the college at the Campus Impact Conference (CampusCon) this Friday through Sunday at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

“This is a great opportunity for our CLTCC student leaders to participate on a national stage with their peers,” said CLTCC Chancellor Jimmy Sawtelle. “Supervisor Williams and Vice President Marshall will have an opportunity to share best practices and get ideas from students from across the country and will build relationships and make connections that will not only help them as students, but further their personal development as leaders. As an added benefit CLTCC Associate Vice Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Cox, an Ohio State University Alumnus, will be accompanying them as SGA advisor.”

The Campus Impact Conference was created to bring together student leaders from around the country to share ideas, identify best practices, and develop critical leadership skills. The program seeks to build an influential community of student leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills to tackle the biggest challenges facing today’s students. This year, the National Campus Leadership Council is taking a regional approach to CampusCon to help students form deeper connections with other student leaders in their area with the hopes of making a global impact.
