ALEXANDRIA, La. (CLHC) - The Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition Board of Directors announces that they have selected Joseph Buzzetta to serve as executive director.

“After a very thorough search, the Board is excited to welcome Joseph Buzzetta to lead the Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition into the future,” said Kim Boyd, President of CLHC’s Board. “Joseph brings extensive knowledge of our homeless population as well as ‘in the trenches’ experience to this leadership role. I especially value that he has focused his career on our population who are currently experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.” Joseph Buzzetta began his tenure as Executive Director on June 1.

Joseph Buzzetta came to the CLHC from Volunteers of America back in October 2018. At VOA he served as the Housing Program Supervisor and since joining CLHC has served as the Homeless Street Outreach Coordinator. Joseph obtained a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Louisiana College and a Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University, and is currently under supervision to obtain his LCSW.

“I am both honored and excited to be serving as the Executive Director for the CLHC,” said Joseph Buzzetta. “I have been working with individuals experiencing homelessness in the Central Louisiana area since 2014 and I have seen this community’s drive and passion to tackle this issue head on. I look forward to working with this community as we work towards the goal of providing safe and affordable housing for our fellow Central Louisiana citizens.”
