The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will hold a public meeting concerning the upgrade of designated traffic signals across Catahoula Parish to include flashing yellow arrow signals.

The meeting will be held in an open house format where attendees can come and go during the allotted time frame, ask questions, and receive information regarding the new signals and their locations.

The flashing yellow arrows will replace a solid green bulb to indicate the motorist should yield to oncoming traffic during a left turn. Flashing yellow arrow signals have been shown to increase safety and reduce traffic delays.

The public meeting will be held at Block High School Cafeteria, 300 Division Street in Jonesville, on February 20 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
