A look back at the tornado activity from Wednesday

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Wednesday, February 7, 2018, was an active morning. Multiple thunderstorms moved through the area, but some of them were severe.

At 3:36 a.m. a tornado warning went off for southeastern Vernon Parish for a radar-indicated tornado near Cravens, Louisiana. Another tornado warning was issued for northeastern Rapides Parish until 4:15 a.m. That expired shortly after 4:00 a.m. There was also a third tornado warning issued for southeastern Vernon and southwestern Rapides Parishes until 4:30 a.m.

There was a confirmed EF1 tornado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, with the first tornado warning. This moved through the community of Cravens which is just north of Pitkin on Highway 10. This then traveled east towards Highway 458. With this tornado, it was a very rural area so multiple trees were down with one house damaged. The house was damaged due to the downed trees.
