A homeowner contacted APD on February 15 concerning home improvement fraud on a rental house on Alma Street.

The victim said that he hired an electrician, Brian Beebe, to work on the home in 2018. He paid over $2,000 upfront, but after inspecting the house when Beebe said the work was completed, the homeowner saw that nothing had been fixed. Another electrician inspected the house as well and verified that no work had been done.

The homeowner then made numerous attempts to contact Beebe and received no response.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Beebe for home improvement fraud. On February 25, Beebe turned himself in to detectives and was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
