Compass Health Network, said to inspire hope and promote wellness, is closing all of its locations in Louisiana next month.

The Compass Health Network is a nonprofit healthcare organization that provides a full continuum of behavioral health services as well as primary and dental health services throughout Missouri and Louisiana.

However, the company is now closing all of its facilities in our state. They currently serve two parishes, both Rapides and Calcasieu.

In Pineville, Phase Two House for Women, Adolescent Outpatient, Red River Treatment Center and Gateway Adolescent Treatment Center will all close on June 30.

In Lake Charles, Briscoe Treatment Center is also set to close at that time. Each center stopped accepting new patients on May 1 and again will stop treatments by June 30.

News Channel 5 has requested further comment from Compass Health Network. We want to know why they’re closing these public resources, how they’re helping patients find alternative care, and what’s happening to staff members employed here.

We’ll provide updates as details become available.

One final note: Compass Health Network does not own or operate Compass Behavioral Health of Alexandria, an 18-bed psychiatric hospital specializing in caring for adults 21 years and older.
