(KALB) - Gov. John Bel Edwards addressed the public on the latest COVID-19 updates in Louisiana on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
Edwards said that the case count of COVID-19 is "sobering."
Edwards continued that even though cases aren’t popping up in every parish on the LDH map, “it’s present in every single parish.”
“Our ventilator capacity is far from ok,” Edwards said. He also said the healthcare industry and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is already severely stretched thin in the state.
We also learned Wednesday that Apple will be donating 100,000 N95 masks to Louisiana.
The Office of Public Health said that 104 people were screened at the drive-thru testing site in Alexandria. Only 40 people were tested.
