Gov. Edwards order flags at half-staff for victims in Orlando attack

BATON ROUGE, La. (Office of the Governor) - On Monday, Governor John Bel Edwards ordered the flags of the United States and the State of Louisiana to be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol and all public buildings until sunset on Thursday, June 16, 2016 as an expression of respect for the victims of yesterday’s terrorist attack in Orlando.

Sunday, Gov. Edwards and First Lady Donna Edwards expressed their thoughts and prayers for the families and victims of this senseless and unimaginable attack. Louisiana stands ready to assist the State of Florida to bring justice for those whose lives were lost.
