Christus Cabrini staff taught a five-hour class to help staff better protect the lives of their students.
Teachers worked on several dummies using CPR, mouth to mouth resuscitation and even an AED.
"Sudden cardiac arrest is common in kids, it is common in adults as well," said Critical Care Educator Stanley Guillot. "A lot of time with kids we don't know it is going to happen. So, knowing what to do in case of sudden cardiac arrest is key.
Christus strives to spread basic life support skills across the community.
