DEVILLE, La. (RPSO) - Detectives from the Tioga Sheriff’s Station were following up on an investigating on December 4 that led them to the Magnolia Drive area of Deville.
They noticed a black 4-door vehicle driving suspiciously slowly and a passenger inside throwing a small back bag out of the window. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Misty Long, 38, of Hinston and the passenger, Monica Renee Johnson, 35, of Hineston.
When detectives recovered the bag that was thrown out, they found numerous pills, several small bags of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale and a loaded syringe of suspected methamphetamine.
Both Long and Johnson were placed under arrest for possession of CDS II with intent to distribute, possession of CDS IV and drug paraphernalia.
During intake, Johnson was also found to have a small bag of suspected methamphetamine located in her underclothes. Along with the original charges, Johnson was also charged with introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.
On Wednesday, Long was released on a $7,000 bond and Johnson was released on a $12,500 bond.
Metro Division agents said their investigation is still ongoing and more charges are possible.
