Data from weather watchers verifies a general rainfall event with near 100% coverage. Some high amounts were embedded in the pattern.

The rain resulted from a slow-moving cold front and an upper-level disturbance acting on an unstable atmosphere. Some locations experienced two or three different waves of rain and thunderstorms.

The highest amounts were observed outside the locations on the graphic. Here is a summary of the highest amounts:

Hessmer (Hwy 1188 and JJ Ln)...2.29

The front will linger over central Louisiana Wednesday but will dissipate late. The upper-level feature will move east into Mississippi. This will create a weather pattern with less coverage and amounts.
