Bishop David Talley, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Alexandria, has accepted the resignation of Joel Desselle as principal of Holy Savior Menard Central High School, effective July 31, 2017. Desselle has accepted the position of assistant principal of Marksville High School for the 2017-18 school year.

Dwayne Lemoine, the newly hired assistant principal of Menard, will serve as acting principal for the 2017-18 school year, while the search for a new principal gets underway.

Desselle has served as principal of Menard since 2007 and as both principal and head football coach since 2014. After last fall's football season, he resigned as head football coach, to serve, once again, as full-time principal.
