NEW ORLEANS, La. (KPLC/WVUE) - Multiple media outlets have reported that Louisiana State Police have suspended the Local Agency Compensated Enforcement (LACE) Program statewide.

LACE is a ticket-writing agreement that has recently been under investigation. The findings were brought to the attention of LSP Superintendent Kevin Reeves, who called for the immediate suspension of the program.

The LACE program will be under review to "ensure accountability and consistency throughout the state", according to Reeves.
