LSU fans pack Alexandria Walk-On's for watch party
There was a packed house of Louisiana State University Tiger fans at Alexandria’s Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar, with more than 100 television screens tuned into the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
General Manager Ricky Tompkins said the national championship watch party was planned because of the Walk-On's brand.
The first restaurant was established in Baton Rouge right next to Death Valley on the LSU campus. Tompkins said the fans in Alexandria love LSU.
“My favorite part is seeing how many people in Alexandria come out to watch and get a true game-like experience at Walk-Ons,” Tompkins said.
Purple and gold were everywhere and many fans were excited to say “Geaux Tigers”.
Everyone had no doubt that LSU would win, and many were just happy to see their team in the national championship game, while enjoying a great environment at Walk-On's.
LSU beat Clemson, with a final score of 42 to 25.
