RUSTON, La. (CLTCC) - Officials with Louisiana Tech University and Central Louisiana Technical Community College signed an articulation agreement on Wednesday that would allow CLTCC Forestry Technology students to transfer credits up to 33 hours from CLTCC to Louisiana Tech’s Bachelors Degree Forestry Program.

“This is a tremendous benefit for our Forest Technology students,” CLTCC Chancellor Jimmy Sawtelle said. “This agreement with Louisiana Tech will allow CLTCC students to begin their path toward a Bachelor’s degree and begin a career in an industry vital to Louisiana's economy.”

CLTCC is a two-year technical and community college offering associate degrees, technical diplomas, industry certificates, and customized training in more than 20 disciplines to support local workforce development and prepare students for good-paying jobs. The college serves ten parishes in Central Louisiana through its eight campuses and provides instruction in three state prisons and two federal correctional institutions.
