Leesville native appointed to cabinet position

LEESVILLE, La. (KALB) - According to the Leesville Daily Leader, President Donald Trump has appointed Leesville native, Suzette Kuhlow Kent, administrator of the Office of Electronic Government at the Office of Management and Budget.

Kent, who graduated Leesville High School in 1986, and from LSU in May 1990 with a bachelor's degree in journalism, will oversee federal technology spending, federal IT policy, and strategic planning of all Federal IT investments.

The White House issued this statement about Ms. Kent, “She is an industry leader of large-scale business transformation using technology, for the world’s most complex organizations.

She will be the fourth person to take this position since its creation in 2002. She’s succeeding Tony Scott, who retired from the role at the end of the Obama administration.
