LEESVILLE, La. (KALB) - The Central Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Leesville got a little TLC on Tuesday thanks to a group of employees with Walker Honda of Alexandria.

For the second year, the dealership traveled to Vernon Parish to clean up and place a flag on every grave in the cemetery. It's part of the company's 'Honda Week of Service' where employees donate their time to the community.
Fourteen people participated this year. The crew started at 9 a.m. Tuesday and spent more than three hours working to polish up the gravesites ahead of Flag Day. Lamuel Holmes said it's also a chance to learn about some of the veteran's buried there.
"We're giving back to the community, many of us have family or have served in the military," said Holmes. "One of my guys actually has a gentleman that he served with who is buried out here. He can actually reconnect and it brings memories back for him of someone that he served with you know 15, 20, 30 years ago. That's amazing."
Holmes said the dealership will continue to do this every year for 'Honda Week of Service.'
