ALEXANDRIA, La. (LNHA) - The Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA) presented Sue Boudreaux of The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville with the Food Service Supervisor of the Year award at the 2019 LNHA Convention and Trade Show.
Each year, LNHA presents the Food Service Supervisor of the Year award to an outstanding leader in the food service department who is passionate about creating and serving delicious, nutritious meals while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and ensuring sanitary standards are met.
Boudreaux has served as the food service supervisor at The Woodlands for 20 years and has never missed a day of work. Her mission is to serve each resident and their family members with a smile and a kind word. She’s known for her positive attitude and ability to bring cheer to all, even on tough days. Her strong leadership and attention to detail lends to the successful daily operations and preparation of three meals a day for 152 residents along with 50 staff members.
“Sue has raised the bar in the food service department. She consistently delivers tasty and fresh meals served with a friendly smile and kind word. Under her leadership, the food service department provides exceptional service and is committed to operational excellence,” said Jeff Johnson, administrator at The Woodlands. “She is an incredible asset to our team and facility.”
Affectionately called “Mama Sue” by the facility staff, Boudreaux empowers, encourages and motivates her staff to complete their duties efficiently and effectively in a caring manner. She leads with a servant-leadership management style, serving alongside her staff cooking, serving meals and washing dishes. Boudreaux’s unwavering dedication coupled with her exceptional resident-centered meal service have enhanced the overall experience and satisfaction of the residents at the Woodlands Healthcare Center.
