ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - On this Giving Tuesday, one local non-profit is giving back to our community by picking up trash across Central Louisiana.

Individuals from Evergreen Life Services spent Tuesday morning picking up litter around Windermere Avenue in Alexandria.
Evergreen is a non-profit organization that provides supportive services for the intellectually and developmentally disabled with multiple community homes and work programs throughout Cenla
Donor Services Director Mitzi LaSalle and Evergreen's Michael Mareio say it's all about giving back to the community and supporting other local non-profits on this Giving Tuesday.
"Just giving back to our community and showing the neighbors here in Central Louisiana that we are good neighbors, good neighbors, yeah that we are good neighbors," said LaSalle and Mareio. "Evergreen Life Services we are good neighbors and on this giving Tuesday, we are encouraging other non-profits to give back to their community."
Evergreen Life Services also benefits from donations and are accepting donations of their own.
