The members of Assembly 27 once again held a special luncheon to show their appreciation for their service. They call the event Veterans of Valor and invited all former military members to stop by and grab a warm meal.

They said the Knights were founded on social justice and community service. It's the largest historically African American Catholic organization in the United States.

While they do different events throughout the community they said they especially love getting to recognize veterans for their sacrifices.

"It's to show our support for the veterans who have worked so hard and so diligently for us to get us above and beyond,” said Stephen Randall, Supreme Navigator, Knights of Peter Claver. “So our goal is to not only recruit members but to thank vets for what they have done for us."

This year, the female led group known as the Ladies of Grace was also there to give back to our nation's heroes.
