PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - The wildcat community continues to grow, with Louisiana College's enrollment numbers on the rise.
Louisiana College has seen enrollment increase by 25 percent over the last four years.
LC's President Dr. Rick Brewer said it's a large increase for the small liberal arts school.
He said their student population was at 894 a few years ago, now that count is up to 1,123.
Students are not only choosing LC, but choosing to stay there.
Their retention is at 85 percent, up from 81 last year.
Dr. Brewer said his entire staff puts their all into the campus.
"It's not just that we are a great value, because we are," said Dr. Brewer. "We are still about the fifth most affordable private college in America. So, there is value, but also the values that the school possesses: scholarship, faith, integrity, service."
Staff are shooting to have 1,500 students by 2020.
