NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Computer problems that kept Louisiana drivers from getting new or renewed licenses have been resolved.
The commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles announced the fix Thursday in an email. The outage affected OMV offices statewide all day Wednesday.
OMV said on its Facebook page that offices will be open during regularly scheduled hours.
Wednesday's outage was discovered just hours before offices opened. Although vehicle registration transactions could take place, driver's license transactions were unavailable throughout the day.
