On February 3, around 6:00 a.m., APD responded to a business on Peterman Drive, in reference to a man stuck in a chimney.

According to the report, when employees arrived at the business, a man was heard yelling from inside and was found to be stuck. While police were en route to the call, the man was able to extract himself from the chimney, after which he threw a brick at an employee and fled the scene on foot.

Shortly afterwards, officers were able to locate the suspect on Mohon Drive. He was identified as Matthew Mobley, 41, of Alexandria, and was charged with Attempted Simple Burglary and Aggravated Assault.

This is Mobley's 77th booking into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

APD officers said they did not locate a sleigh or any presents on scene.
