Mansura woman arrested for attempted second degree murder

MANSURA, La. (KALB) - A Mansura woman was arrested after a Sunday morning shooting incident, according to the Mansura Police Department.

We are told that a 31-year-old victim was shot in his right leg and walked about a mile from the 6500 block of Thompson Drive to the Mansura Police Department.

The suspect, Ebony Jenkins, 20, allegedly was in an argument with the victim when she left the scene and returned with a gun. Following another argument, she allegedly shot the victim.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder, based on the situation of her leaving and returning with the weapon.

The case is still under investigation. The victim went to a hospital and was released.
