Marine home for the holidays surprises little brother at Cherokee
It was going to be the first year six-year-old Jack would have to spend Christmas without his older brother Scott.
Private First Class Scott Hebron joined the Marine Corps in May. After the 19-year-old completed basic training, he was stationed in California.
Hebron's family said the brother duo has always been inseparable and it was hard on Jack when his brother left. He was able to make it home for Thanksgiving for three days, but didn't expect to make it for Christmas.
"It means a lot to me," PVC Hebron said. "He looks up to me, looks at me as a really big role model. So, looking at him, it is a lot to take in."
The surprise had Jack speechless and he could only manage to give out hugs.
"When big brother left to go, Jack didn't take it too well," Gregory said. "But, then he realized, hey my big brother is a hero."
The family is overjoyed to have their biggest Christmas wish come true.
