New Wildcats move into Louisiana College

PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - New Wildcats moved into Louisiana College on Saturday, ahead of the new year.

The campus was packed as families arrived with cars full of boxes, to move in their students.

Students were hauling things like mini fridges, multiple bins and clothes up to their new pad.

Staff and students on the welcoming committee were excited to get the year started.

"Get into the spirit, get to know the environment a little better," said Resident Assistant Zach Zaldivar. "Get to know the RA's. Get to know everybody they need to."

"We get to be the first face that the freshmen see whenever they first come in," said sophomore Tiffany Foster. "You never get another chance to make that first impression with the freshmen. So, we want to be able to lead them this week and kind of just show them around campus."

Louisiana College's Fall semester starts August 19.
