Suspect arrested in Oak Haven Community Care Center bomb threat

AVOYELLES PARISH, La. (APSO) - According to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office, Oak Haven Community Care Center was put on lockdown Wednesday morning. Authorities said a live-in acquaintance of an employee called the nursing home with a bomb threat.

Sheriff's deputies put the nursing home on lockdown, but no device was found.

Christopher Roy, 28, was arrested in Marksville without incident with the assistance of the Marksville Police Department. He will be booked into the Avoyelles jail on 20 counts of terrorizing (felony) and unauthorized use of a movable, in addition to a warrant for failure to comply/contempt of court.

Bond has been set at $30,365 on all charges.
