Ouachita Parish man accused of raping a child over several years

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - A Ouachita Parish man is accused of raping a child over several years, according to authorities.

Jeremy Wayne Foster, 42, was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on June 6, 2019, on a charge of first-degree rape.

According to court records, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating the allegations on May 10, 2019, after the child's mother reported that her daughter was being sexually abused by the suspect.

The victim later reported that the abuse happened over the past six years. The victim said the suspect forced her to engage in multiple sexual acts over the years.

Foster has a history of arrests involving domestic abuse, sexual battery, and other sex crimes, including exposing himself and being charged with peeping/voyeurism.

According to court records, bail was set at $750,000 on the rape charge.
