The Lady Warhorses were the winners of the Spurgeon Law Firm social media contest in which the best selfie taken would earn $1,000.

The Lady Warhorses were elated to receive the check to help continue a winning program that has won back-to-back state titles.
"It was a rush,” Taina Caldwell, a senior at Peabody said. “I want to go back and do the whole day over again. It was amazing. I love my teammates and my coaches."

The Spurgeon brothers said they were delighted to support the Lady Warhorses.

"I grew up in this community, and people always did a lot for us,” Sam Spurgeon said. “I played sports growing up, and people would always contribute toward our efforts and our programs. It is good to be able to give back."

"I think programs like this (Peabody) really show that it's a great program by winning two state championships," Stephen Sprugeon said.
With these funds, the Lady Warhorses will look to continue their winning ways.
