NEW ORLEANS, La. (AP) - Louisiana State police said they have arrested a man suspected of stealing $7,000 in gaming chips at a casino.
A man later identified as Eldridge Brown, 33, grabbed the chips from a gaming table Sunday, ran out of the New Orleans area casino and fled in a car.
Police said in a statement they found they spotted Brown on Thursday. Police said Brown refused to stop and started a pursuit, but the vehicle eventually became disabled in a muddy area. The release said Brown and a female passenger, Marquise Alexander, 31, were arrested.
Brown was charged with felony theft and other offenses and Alexander was booked on an outstanding warrant from Jefferson Parish.
