Johnson met with residents of Pineville at the Kees Park Community Center on Hwy. 28 East.
Johnson said it was his chance to answer questions about the session and talk with residents about how recently passed laws will impact them.
"If you don't have a heart for service, and if you don't have a desire to represent the folks, then you're in that office for the wrong reason," Johnson said. "I grew up in this area. I want to be the voice for all the folks in this area, regardless of what party they're from. The reason we have these meetings is because it gives folks an opportunity to come out and say 'you did a good job' or ask, 'why did you vote this way?'"
Johnson will meet with voters two more times this month:
Tuesday, June 18
6:00 pm - 7:30 p.m.
Deville Training Center (Buckeye, Deville, Kolin and Holloway Communities)
Tuesday, June 25
6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Riverview Baptist Church (8701 Hwy 1)
