RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - Countless people came to the Rapides Parish Fair, Saturday evening, enjoying the cool October breeze.
“It’s nice today, last year it was hot [and] today it’s cool,” Brenda Flowers, an attendee at the fair said. “We love to see the exhibits and the horses, and I got to hold at rabbit today… I was so excited.”
Flowers says she couldn’t imagine a better way to spend her birthday. Several other families also agreed with Flowers, stating they enjoyed the food, games, rides and the overall family atmosphere.
“Yeah, we are really enjoying it out here,” Kloee Goff, an attendee accompanied by family stated. “Lots of good family events can you tell!”
“I think there are probably between 8 to 10 thousand people here right now,” John Hanschen, the President of Thomas Carnival Incorporated said. “They are having a good time. We got a nice family crowd here today.”
Residents will have one more day to enjoy the fair as it will wrap up Sunday at 8pm.
