UPDATE: Man arrested for double homicide in Marksville

The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man arrested for the murders of two men in Marksville over the weekend.

Jimmy McGlory, 28, was booked on two counts of first degree murder.

MPD told us two people were killed in the shooting at Borrel's Lounge around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Police identified the victims as Taji Simon, 20, and Derrick McGlory, 27. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

On KALB’s Facebook page, and several websites messages are pouring in from people giving their condolences to the family of Simon, who was an up-and-coming rap artist.
