Authorities found a deceased male at the scene and two other victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

The injured subjects were identified as William “Willie” Matz, 38, of Leesville, and Brandon Lemmons, 39, of Anacoco. Both were transported to local medical facilities by EMS personnel and are currently listed in stable condition.

The deceased male was later identified as Mark Fernandez Sr., 54, of Leesville.

Deputies secured the scene and were able to identify several witnesses to the shootings. Deputy Chief Calvin Turner said there are numerous witnesses being interviewed to "get to the bottom of exactly what happened that night."

Chief Turner added that the altercation began inside the lounge before moving to the parking lot. A patron tells KALB that he was outside on the phone when he heard four gunshots. When he came around the corner he says he saw three bodies lying in the parking lot and that Mr. Fernandez was clearly unresponsive. He also noted that one of the victims was lying next to a motorcycle that appeared to have been tipped over. Chief Turner says VPSO will be looking into that detail as well.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident can contact the VPSO Criminal Division at 337-238-7248 or Crime Stoppers at 337-239-2233.
