Walk On's Bistreaux & Bar prepares for Alexandria grand opening

It seems every where you look there's new attractions or restaurants starting to make their way to Central Louisiana.

One of the most anticipated is Walk On's Bistreaux and Bar.

But, the good news is you don't have to wait much longer.

On Saturday, both local and corporate employees met for orientation and will be back again on Monday to start training, so they'll be ready for that January 15 grand opening.

The restaurant will be fun for the whole family, with enough room to hold more than 250 guests as well as 70 televisions, games for the kids and the largest tap selection in Alexandria.

The owners said getting Walk On's in Alexandria has been a two year process, and they're excited to get things officially rolling.

"I really want people to come and just experience what Walk On's is, the atmosphere, the culture, the food," said Walk On's Alexandria Franchisee Brandon Thompson. "I think we will have the best food in town and I think people are really going to enjoy it."

Walk On's is also holding a competition on their Facebook page to win two tickets to an early mock shift, as well as two footballs signed by Drew Brees.

They also have signed footballs for the first 25 customers when they open on January 15.

Also, signs for BubbaQue's Barbecue have gone up on a new building off Highway 28 West in Alexandria.

It's another new restaurant getting ready to make it's home in Central Louisiana.

The restaurant is a favorite across the south . The other Louisiana location can be found in Leesville.

We tried to reach out to the owners Saturday to learn a little more about the opening for the restaurant, but we didn't hear back from them.

However, the manager in Leesville said the Alexandria location should open its doors sometime in February.
