ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - This week's ACA Athlete of the Week finalists include some of the best girls basketball stars in Cenla.
First, there is Tioga’s Alayah Robertson, who's averaged just over 19 points in the past four games of this season.
"I'm just thanking God for it," Robertson said. "We have people that trust us and support us. It's all thanks to Him. I just trust in my teammates, and they trust in me. We give each other the ball, and I'm taking the shots that I need to."
Next, there's Bolton’s Dymon Drumgo, who has led the Lady Bears to being ranked 13th in the LHSAA power rankings.
"I work hard not only for myself, but I do it for my teammates, coaches, and my family," Drumgo said. "We're trying to put Bolton's name back on the map because back in the day, they were good. We're trying to make it back to what it was at one point. We've been working hard so we deserve every accomplishment that we're going to get this year."
Finally, Buckeye's Gracelyn Adams shined last week in the Marksville tournament scoring 20 points in a win.
"It's an honor," Adams said. "Not a lot of people get this so I'm honored. The past two games we didn't have the outcome that we wanted, and we gave it all that game (against Bunkie) because we wanted to recover from the past two games."
