ALEXANDRIA (KALB) -- Chris Gatlin doesn't like to look too far ahead into the future.
He knows that his Holy Savior Menard football team is currently on a stretch of nine consecutive winning seasons. He also knows that the Eagles have only won one playoff game this decade. But instead of putting the cart before the horse and setting grandiose goals, Gatlin would rather just take it one game at a time and see where his team is once the dust settles.
And this upcoming season, Gatlin feels like his team could rack up some wins.
The Eagles have the potential for quite the dynamic offense this season with seniors at all the key skill positions all returning, such as dual-threat quarterback Cam Miguez and receivers Brandon Cochran and Jake Dekeyzer. It will come down though to the play of a young, but what Gatlin believes to be a talented offensive line, that will get its first shot in the spotlight when the Eagles welcome Bolton on August 31.
