LAFAYETTE, La (KALB) - When the Louisiana High School Coaches Association announced their 2019 All-Star roster for soccer, something was was glaringly obvious.

Left to Right: Coach Nick Magnano (Grace Christian), Ridha Alkaabi (Pineville #5), Cayden Reynolds (ASH #7), Elias Hanna (Menard #21), Leo Zabeu (Menard #19), Dylan Foxworth (ASH #6), Brandon Cespiva (Pineville #0)

Central Louisiana Soccer rocked in 2018.

With six players from the area making the team (according to Pineville Head Coach Greg Comeaux, the most ever), the team saw a Cenla takeover.

The game played out in similar fashion.

The Cenla stars carried the West team to victory over the East behind a Rhida Alkaabi (Pineville) goal, an Elias Hanna (Menard) goal and assist, and Brandon Cespiva's (Pineville) multiple saves. Cespiva would be named MVP of the game.

"There's six in this area that have been selected and I've been around all six of them at some point in the last four years," said Greg Comeaux, Pineville's Head Soccer Coach. "I'm so excited for the two that go to Pineville, but just all six of them, they definitely deserve it."

ASH Head Soccer Coach Sons Pathoumthong added, "It’s just a phenomenal group, to see them go to their respectable teams and accomplish all their success (means a lot). Again it’s just a testament to the tight knit of the group."

Grace Coach Nick Magnano represented Cenla coaches in the contest.
