Everything you need to know for Week 7

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - #10 Logansport (1-5) vs. #8 Montgomery (4-2)
The Montgomery Tigers host the Logansport Tigers in a Class 1A battle that is for sure going to be a good one. Logansport picked up their first win of the season last week against the Block Bears while Montgomery won last their game against Northwood 90-60.

Buckeye (0-6) vs. #4 Marksville (5-1)
Marksville will be at home hosting buckeye this Friday night. Marksville is walking in 5-1 after dominating Grant 49-0. Just like last week, John Small will be looking to connect with Braydon Flores and Daniel Miller all night to give them the outcome they want. Buckeye is 0-6, coming off of a loss similar to Grant, except it was given by Peabody. In order for the Panthers to win, they are going to have to apply pressure on Small every play.

#9 Red River (4-2) vs. #22 Menard (4-2)
In Class 2A, the Menard Eagles host the Red River Bulldogs. The Eagles, led by Dru Scully, are feeling good after coming off of their win over the Bunkie Panthers. The Eagles aren’t seeded in the playoffs in Class 2A. Instead, they play in the select bracket of Division III, but they are still playing for respect within their regular season district.

#10 North Caddo (3-2) vs. #28 Bolton (4-2)
The Bolton Bears host North Caddo who is number 10 in the 2A rankings. Last week, Bolton was only able to score one touchdown through the entire game, causing them to fall to 4 2 on the season. Essentially, they started off slow and they weren’t able to make those big plays on their 4th down conversions. If they want to win, they are going to have to come ready to play from start to finish.

#3 ASH vs. Pineville (2-4)
Moving back up to Class 5a, the Pineville Rebels host the ASH Trojans in a District 2-5A clash. Both teams are coming off of losses. ASH losing to West Monroe and Pineville falling to Ruston. Pineville needs this win because they currently are on the outside looking in as far as playoff seeding. The Trojans, on the other hand, are sitting nice toward the top of 5A. Neither team is looking to be complacent. Plus, it's a rivalry game and no one wants to lose against their rival.

#14 Peabody (5-1) vs. #3 Tioga (6-0)
For our game of the week, Peabody and Tioga will face off in a district matchup. Tioga is looking too good right now after their late, 4th quarter, thriller win over Leesville. This is another major game for Peabody. If players like Tyriq Miles and Arthur Lavalais come out playing in the same way that they have in the past few games, they have a chance to win.

Other games happening:
Natchitoches Central vs. Captain Shreve
Leesville vs. DeRidder
Bunkie vs. Winnfield
Grant vs. Jena
Pickering vs. DeQuincy
Kinder vs. Oakdale
Vinton vs. Rosepine
Avoyelles vs. Many
Block vs LaSalle
