GOTW: Bolton brings momentum to district

ALEXANDRIA, LA. (KALB) - "It's a been about changing the culture, and I believe we're a year a head of schedule."

Since Mark Teauge arrived at Bolton, it's about shifting the attitude and the mindset of the players.

In 2018, the shift has been evident.

"They're buying in, they're invested. They worked hard all summer. They put the work in. And, finally, they're seeing that work pay off," said Teague.

Friday night, the Bears have a tough task: taking down one of the most consistent teams in Central Louisiana, the Marksville Tigers. Marksville has claimed at least a share of the District 3-3A title eight times since 2004, and has finished no worse than second during that span.

"It's going to be tough," said Teague. "I have tremendous respect for Coach Dunbar and the job he has done with those guys. He's always got those guys ready to play."

Bolton hosts Marksville this Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
